Research

Research in the Department of Applied Health and Professional Development offers a supportive and collaborative research community, giving you the chance to develop your research skills together with knowledge of your chosen subject.

We have strong links with external practitioners across a range of relevant fields, and strive for our research findings to inform and influence current policy and practice. We offer research degree opportunities including MPhil and PhD to students with interests in our research areas, and also offer studentships each year. Students will be supported by a supervisory team, and will have many additional opportunities to interact with other researchers and research students in a variety of disciplines and across different institutions.

Students have the opportunity to participate in the Faculty’s annual research conference, attend research seminars and forums and to participate in training and outreach activities.
